What a difference a few weeks make - looks like we skipped spring this year, or sprinted through it.
Either way, summer is here to stay, so let's get the bikes ready!
We have a special deal in the shop at the moment. Check it out in the product pages.
You are also more than welcome to come by the Garage HQ in Devonport for a trial and a chat. During Christmas and New Years, the mobile show room will be in Papamoa, but we are back in Devonport before you know it.
We are going to Sweden to meet up with the guys at Stålhästen HQ in Stockholm. It is a long way, so we will be away for all of July, and the show room will thus be closed.
However, internet never sleeps, and the sun is up all night in Sweden at this time of the year, so you can always reach us. But it might be best to try email, since phones are unreliable over such distance and time difference.
Do get in touch with questions and comments, and we shall answer.
Hope to see you in August!
We are going down to the beach in Papamoa to celebrate Queens birthday, which also happens to be Sweden's National Day this year (2016-06-06).
On Sunday and Monday, the full range will be available for testing if you want to try before you buy.
The Rugby team is not the only black thing to be proud of in NZ these days. We have matching retro bicycles for all the fans, and they come in both a Gentleman's version and a Lady's version or even a Sport model.
Test drives are available by appointment in Devonport and Mount Maunganui. Get in touch for details :)
You can still order products, but the show room in Devonport will be closed for a Waitangi weekend.
We are in the Bay of Plenty Region (Papamoa, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga), so if you are in the area, do let me know and I can show you a bicycle or two...
The Bicycles will be on display all day, Friday 6th - Sunday 8th, and I will be available for chats and demonstrations.
Santa brought us some baskets and bags for Christmas!
We are very happy to announce that we are now stocking some selected Basil baskets and bags for your bicycle.
This is Dutch quality accessories from another pioneer brand - Basil. They are not customer made for the bicycles, but the closest thing in the meantime. Check out the selection and extend the carrying capacity of your mighty steed.
We have an initial trial range, with the full New Zealand range available here: http://bicyclebaskets.co.nz/
Please let me know if you are interested in another product, and I will get one in.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Steelhorse crew!
We are taking some time off and hope to see you again in the new year. You can still order products, but the show room in Devonport will be closed for a couple weeks.
We are in the Bay of Plenty Region (Papamoa, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga), so if you are in the area, do let me know and I can show you a bicycle or two.
We are keen to send any Christmas presents so they arrive in time before the big day.
Our latest advice from the transport company recommends the last day for Christmas despatch is:
It would be prudent to allow at least one extra day to allow for unforeseen holdups
On Sunday, we are attending the Devonport Santa parade with the Steelhorse test bicycles. We will be next to the Library with Bike Devonport and talk about biking in general and Steel horse in particular.
See you there!
We are open as normal at least (12-2), with the added bonus of a retro/vintage garage sale at the neighbours place. Come and enjoy new and old vintage gear!
The show room in Devonport will be closed on Labour weekend since I am away. Hope to see you next weekend instead, or if you want to book an appointment for any evening, I will be back on Tuesday.
See you soon, and have a great long weekend :)
Due to Fathers day commitment away from Devonport, the show room will not be open this weekend (6th of September).
Please use the contact form if you want to come and test one of the bicycles. Hope to see you next Saturday instead!
We are moving into the real world. The show room in Devonport is a great place to come and see the bicycles in action. Or just have a little chat. It is located by the water on 35 King Edward Parade.
In the beginning, the opening hours will be very limited: Saturday's from 12 noon to 2pm. Please check our Facebook site as well for updated Opening times.
If the time does not suit, contact us and we will arrange a mutually beneficial time.
Hope to see you soon!
